Music in the Park is April 13!

We're so excited that Music in the Park, a free event hosted by the Carnation neighborhood, is almost here! Mark your calendars and join us:

Music in the Park

Saturday, April 13, from 2-6 p.m., at Steele Indian School Park amphitheater in central Phoenix

Bring a blanket and enjoy a spring afternoon of music, food, kids activities and fun at one of the best parks in the city. (All seating is on the lawn at the amphitheater.)

We have two great bands, Nicki Park Trio and Louis On Tour, lined up along with several tasty food trucks. We'll also have a bounce house, games and more for the kids!

Please help us spread the word about this event – it's free and open to all!

Volunteers needed

We also need Music in the Park volunteers! This event is put on by Carnation and paid for by a grant from the city's Parks and Recreation Department. We hope you'll consider volunteering to help this event run smoothly and reflect well on our neighborhood! Please email carnationassociationaz@gmail.com to let us know if and when you can help with any of the following volunteer efforts:

  1. Street team: We need people to hang posters in neighborhoods surrounding the park. You can pick up posters, head to an assigned area and do this at your leisure by April 7.

  2. Event setup: We need help with setup for the event between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

  3. Event help: We need help with various tasks, including hanging out at our Carnation booth, during the event between 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

  4. Event teardown: We need help with cleaning up after the event between 6 and 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13.
